From personal migration experience to the Inside Culture Academy

Our intercultural trainers Katharina and Tanya know what it feels like to start over – in a foreign country, with many questions and few answers. Their personal migration stories and their desire to make the journey easier for others laid the foundation for the Inside Culture Academy (ICA).

Katharina brings over 15 years of professional experience from the International Office of one of Germany’s most international universities. Tanya holds a PhD in intercultural psychology and combines academic depth with a practical, real-life perspective. Together, they developed a model that takes a holistic approach to integration – practical, psychologically grounded and globally adaptable.

This is how COME by ICA™ – a digital method – came to life. It supports international talents right from their home country and guides them step by step through everyday life in Germany, cultural environments and social interaction.

The four phases of the method – Understand – Reflect – Apply – Belong – build on each other to create orientation, confidence and belonging.

COME by ICA™ is not a theory. It is a compass born from both German and Indian experience – and it helps people not just to find their way, but to truly arrive and lead a visible, successful life in Germany.

Today, the Inside Culture Academy consists of a team of ten dedicated experts who support international students, expats, professionals, companies and partner organisations – with one clear goal: to make integration a process that connects, empowers and has a lasting impact.
