I’m not an expat.
I don’t have a migration background.
And I’ve never had to prove that I belong in Germany.
But I do know what it means to be part of a system. One that often excludes without even realizing it. I grew up inside that system. I’ve benefited from it. And I’ve rarely questioned it, until I started listening more closely.
So let me be clear about what you can expect from me on here.
And what you shouldn’t.
I don’t speak for others. But I will speak about the things I used to overlook – and why that matters.
I don’t know what exclusion feels like. But I know how quickly it happens – and how silently.
I don’t have lived migration experience. But I have system knowledge. And I’m ready to share it – and question it.
I won’t give simple answers. But I will ask uncomfortable questions – starting with myself.
And if you sometimes feel like you missed a briefing: you’re not alone. You’re not wrong. And you’re definitely not the problem.
But maybe my perspective can serve as a mirror. To reflect what’s not being said. And to reveal what’s been hidden in plain sight.
This is what WhiteMaleGerman stands for.
Not guilt.
But responsibility.
Not expertise.
But awareness.
Not the loudest voice.
But one that’s learning – out loud.
